Our Season Classes

New student pricing: $275

There are 8 Season in total, and though they must be taken consecutively, you only have to commit to one season at a time.

Each season is comprised of four 3-hour classes (12 hours total) and each class meets once a week for four week. Good things come in fours!

Each season also focuses on building different tools and techniques…while Season 5 is about emotional work and impulses on cold reads, and Season 8 is about series star auditions (good thing, too, given what some of our students have booked!) Season 1 is all about self awareness and personalizing your audition process.

Classes are taught in-person and via zoom by U-Shin Kim. U-Shin is an energetic teacher and head agent at UGA. He started this program when he noticed AMAZING actors turning in TERRIBLE auditions.

Working with U-Shin in his Audition Arts class has completely elevated all aspects of my acting. ★★★★★ FROM ME!

  • Coursework and Materials

Every week you’ll receive a new packet with sides, run of show, and class materials (worksheets, etc.) Grab a sneak peek of Season One now!

  • Episode One

    Type and Essence

In class, discover your type and essence with the help of your classmates, as you begin to think like a casting director (as opposed to guessing what they want!)

Complete class with pre-assigned co-star audition sides and a discussion.

Homework will include a retape of your scene from class and worksheets to continue exploring type and essence.

  • Episode Two

    Script Scoring and Breakdown

Learn a new way to breakdown audition sides and unlock your ability to make bold, authentic choices.

Conclude class by performing three co-star sides back to back in order to test your process and abilities.

Homework will include rescoring your sides from class, a retape, and more scoring worksheets for practice.

  • Episode Three

    In Your Control

We’ll be going back to look at your actor type and essence in order to see what exactly is within your control. You’ll be repeating one of the exercises from Episode One, but with some new adjustments.

Finish class with your last costar scene of the season, with an emphasis on your type and essence, and your script scoring.

Homework is a rescore and retape!

One of the best classes I’ve taken as an actor. (U-Shin’s) industry experience on both sides of the table leads to incredibly useful and practical insights. His energy is infections, and his passion for actors is refreshing in an industry that can sometimes feel cynical. I highly recommend working with him!

  • FAQS

Scroll through to read some of our frequently asked questions! Such as…

Do we offer in-person classes? No, we don’t. We love the community we’ve been able to foster virtually, and we believe that the best way to teach on camera technique, specifically for self-tapes, is on camera, in your self-tape set-up.

  • I’m not getting auditions….is this still valuable?

Besides the fact that so many of our students leave having found representation (because we teach you how to audition, which applies to auditions AND meetings AND pay-to-play,) we find that a lot of actors aren’t getting auditions because their materials don’t reflect who they are. Learning about your type and essence, thinking as a casting director, all will help casting place you, which will help casting call you.

  • I’ve never acted on camera before, can I take this class?

These are not intro to acting classes at all, but designed for people who are READY to act on a major set, but aren’t getting past their first rounds of auditions. If that’s you, whether you’re more experienced on camera or on stage, then this is the place for you!

  • Is this an online scene study class?

No. We can recommend a few if that’s what you’re looking for, BUT we bet you’ve already spent a lot of money learning how to make the choices in a scene that your instructors think you should make. Why not learn how to make the choices that you want to make?

  • What are office hours?

Office hours are included in every season and are mini-meetings with U-Shin to discuss goals, progress, favorite Trader Joes snacks, or other industry questions. Sign ups are on a first come basis.
