Most actors think of the audition as a barrier to the creative process, a necessary evil you need to get past in order to get to where you really want to be: On Set.

There’s absolutely an element of truth to that— I know you want to be on set. But the fastest way to get there is to start thinking of the audition as part of the creative process.

IT’S SO FUN. You get to do…literally whatever you want. For that first take/tape? You don’t have a director influencing your choices, you don’t have producers, you just have: you. Do whatever you want!
